Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag Review

Winter has definitely arrived. The nights are getting colder and so are our beds. I love to snuggle up with a warm blanket or two. For my littlest one, 8 months old, it is unsafe to use blankets. Until baby is a year old there should never be any pillows or blankets in baby’s crib. This makes it hard to keep baby warm at night. We layer starting with a bodysuit and a warm fleece footed pajama. In freezing temperatures, this is not enough. My baby needs more to stay warm. The Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag is the perfect way to keep baby warm AND safe at night.

Perlimpinpin has a few different sleep bag. I received the 2 tog quilted bamboo sleep bag. Besides quilted bamboo, Perlimpinpin has cotton, muslin, and plush and velour sleep bags. The tog refers to how warm the sleep bag is. For summer and warm houses you would want a lower tog, .5 or 1. For winter or colder houses you will want a higher tog, 1.5 or 2. The room where my baby sleeps seems to be colder than the rest of the house. I went with a higher tog of 2. The tog level you choose depends on where you live and how warm or cold your house is.

The Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag has a few different sizes. There is 0-6 months, 6-18 months and 18-36 months. This means you can keep your child warm in a sleep bag up to 3 years old! I know that may seem old, but it really isn’t. My 2 1/2 year old almost always prefers to sleep without a blanket. It is too cold for this! My oldest started using a blanket around 3 years old. A sleep bag for a 2 year old is really a great idea! My 8 month old is large for his size. He wears 12 month body suits and 18 month pants and pajamas. We have the Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag in the 6-18 month size and it is perfect. There is space for his growing body. He seems incredibly comfortable in his Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag.

There are so many wonderful features on the Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag. The zipper opens fully to allow for easy in and out. The zipper also opens from the bottom. The zipper starts at the top, has a cover over the zipper line near baby’s neck and closes at the bottom. This makes it easy to change baby’s diaper in the middle of the night. This also allows baby to stay warm and cozy during diaper changes. Because the zipper starts at the top and unzips all the way the neck opening is the perfect size. It is not large enough to go over baby’s head to keep baby safe at night. There are no sleeves on the Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag. This allows ventilation to keep baby from overheating.

My little one loves his Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag. When we put his sleep bag on, he knows it is bed time! The Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag is super soft. I want to snuggle up in one! It is the perfect size for my baby. He can move around, his legs are not constricted. He can crawl, slower than normal, in his Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag.

The Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag is 70% jersey viscose from bamboo, 30% cotton with 100% polyester filling. You can purchase your Perlimpinpin Quilted Bamboo Sleep Bag online. Prices range from $36 to $55 depending on which tog you choose. The exact print of the Perlimpinpin Sleep Bag I have is not currently available. The closest one is the arrow quilted sleep bag, 2 togs, for $55.
