Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper Review

So many moms have asked me about the HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper I decided I needed to try it out and report back! The Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper allows me to keep baby right next to my bed. The Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper is a co sleeper but does not allow you to bed share with your baby. The Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper can sit right next to your bed or on top of your mattress, sharing your bed while keeping baby in their own space.

The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is unique in that the bassinet part swivels while the feet stay firmly on the ground. This is nice because it allows you to move the bassinet with baby inside so you can get out of bed. The Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper can go right next to your bed and the bassinet can easily swivel to the side to allow you to climb in and out of bed without disturbing baby. This is especially great for moms who have had a c section. I can tell you, after having a c section with my first, getting in and out of bed was the worst. Having to do that without disturbing the baby was very difficult. With the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper baby can be asleep in the bassinet and mom can move freely in and out of bed. When mom is ready to go to bed the bassinet can be swiveled right next to her.

The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper can go on either side of the bed. If you prefer the left side of the bed, Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper will be there for you! If you prefer the right side of the bed, Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper will swivel on over to fit that side. The swivel feature is really nice! Another great feature on the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper is the side wall. The side wall and be lowered to allow you to set baby inside or lift baby out. This is really handy and allows you to get to baby without sitting up completely in bed. This is also great for the middle of the night when baby stirs. You can easily put your arm inside the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper to soothe baby and the side wall will bend with your arm. You can lock the side wall into place restricting its movement.

The Premiere series of the HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleepercomes with a soothing center that has 3 lullabies, 3 soothing sounds, 2 levels of vibration, a nightlight with two levels of brightness and a nursing timer. The sounds on the soothing center are not very loud. I did not use this feature much and, if I had a newborn, would not use it at all. The sound was not loud enough to sooth or help at all. The 2 levels of vibration are nice. I can see how that would be soothing for a newborn and would love to try it with out next baby. The nightlight is nice, the two levels are great. I would not leave the nightlight on all night but it is nice for middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. The brightness was not too bright as to disturb baby but it is bright enough to allow me to see baby, to change a diaper and to nurse. The nursing timer is very nice. When you push the nursing timer a green light will blink for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes a lovely soothing tone sounds (la la la, la la la) and the green light blinks faster. At 29 minutes the sound repeats and the green light blinks even faster. At 30 minutes the timer will turn off. If you are done nursing before 30 minutes you can turn the timer off by pressing the button.

There are 2 pockets on the HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper, one on each end. They are small and could fit a pacifier, a burp rag, a diaper and wipes. They will not hold much but you don’t often need much in the middle of the night. You can move the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper from room to room but it is pretty awkward to move. You do have to detach the bassinet part and move that separately from the base. The base is pretty heavy and the four feet on it make it hard to move through doorways. You can NOT use the bassinet without the base. You can adjust the height of the bassinet easily. There is a knob on the base that is easy to loosen and tighten. This allows you to use the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper with any height of bed.

The HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper is for babies up to 25 pounds or up to 5 months old. When baby can roll over, push themselves up and/or sit up you should stop using the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper. If baby can do any of these things there is the risk of baby falling out of the Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper.

(A 12 month old who is 31 inches long)
