Britax B Ready Stroller Review

A lot of moms struggle finding a baby stroller that will be perfect for their baby. There are a lot of brands available so thankfully there are sites like that review all the best options and show you the pros and cons. I thought I would try my hand at reviewing a baby stroller and have decided to use this Britax brand because I’ve heard good things about them in the past. The Britax B-Ready Stroller is a single stroller that, when you purchase a second seat, can be used as a double stroller. I did not try my B-Ready with a second seat so this review will be on the use in single mode.

The Britax B-Ready Stroller has four foam filled tires. The ride seems pretty smooth and both my 1 year old and 3 year old enjoyed this stroller. However, when the heavens open I was extremely thankful for purchasing a product similar to this Stroller Buzz Universal Stroller Rain Cover & Weather Shield to use alongside it. There is nothing worse than getting stuck in the rain with a soaking wet stroller and a less than happy young child inhabiting it!
My favorite part of the Britax B-Ready Stroller is that you do not have to rethread the five point harness system. The stroller seat comes with a five point harness system that is adjustable to fit a 6 month old up to a 50 pound child. To adjust the harness system you unzip the back of the seat, squeeze the buttons on either side of the knob and move the harness system up or down. This allows you to get a customized and perfect for for each and every child. This makes it incredibly easy to go from my 1 year old to my 3 year old.

The Britax B-Ready Stroller is not meant to be used with babies under 6 months old. You do need to purchase the bassinet separately to use this stroller with a baby under 6 months old. The Britax B-Ready Stroller does come with a removable seat which can face outward or face the parent. The seat has four recline positions and the foot rest is adjustable as well. This helps baby to be comfortable from 6 months all the way to 3 or 4 years old. My 1 year old loves to have the footrest up so she can sit with her legs out and not down.

Removing the Britax B-Ready Stroller seat is easy. On both sides there are levers. You pull on both levers at the same time and the seat easily comes off. You can face the seat toward the parent or away from the parent.

The handle bar on the Britax B-Ready Stroller is adjustable. To adjust the handle bar you push on both buttons on either side and move the end of the handle bar up or down. The handle bar is covered with comfort grip, a foamy squishy material, which makes it easy and comfortable to hold. The handle bar does not telescope out, instead it goes up or down. There is a decent amount of leg room with this handle bar.

The canopy on the Britax B-Ready Stroller is a decent size. It has a mesh window to see baby. The canopy is not large nor is it small. It does keep most of baby covered from the sun. The seat and canopy are situated in a way that allows a lot of room for my 3 year old’s head. This is the most head space I have seen on a stroller when using it with my 3 year old. The basket underneath the Britax B-Ready Stroller is fairly large. I love that on the front of the basket there is a zipper which allows you to access all your items, even if they have been shoved to the front. The sides of the basket also have zippers allowing you to access every inch of the basket. This is nice in that you do not have to adjust baby or the seat in order to get to your stuff.

The brakes on the Britax B-Ready Stroller are pretty neat. I can easily engage and disengage the breaks with my bare feet. To do this I step on the brake and the little widow will change from green to red letting me know the breaks are on. To remove the breaks I step on the break lever again and the color changes from red to green letting me know the breaks are off. The break is not an up/down, it is a lever that you have to press and look at the window color to know if the breaks are engaged.

The Britax B-Ready Stroller easily turns into a travel system. Any Britax infant car seat will attach to the Britax B-Ready Stroller without an adapter. You can purchase adapters for the Britax B-Ready Stroller if you have a different brand of infant car seat. To use the Britax B-Ready Stroller with a baby under 6 months old you will need an infant seat or the bassinet. The Britax Be Safe infant seat was easy to attach to the Britax B-Ready Stroller and was fairly easy to detach. It was not a smooth detachment but maybe with some practice it could be smoother.

The Britax B-Ready Stroller folds easily and is pretty compact. To fold the Britax B-Ready Stroller you simply lift both levers on either side of the handle bar. There is a latch that will hold the stroller together so you can carry it without it opening up. You can fold the Britax B-Ready Stroller with the stroller seat on or you can remove it.

You can purchase your Britax B-Ready Stroller online for $399. If you hurry and purchase it soon you might be able to snag your Britax B-Ready Stroller for $299! Currently the Britax B-Ready Stroller comes in black and comes standard with an arm bar and a cup holder.
